Cosmic Purple Carrots

These have a dark wine-colored skin, but the interior is as orange as a regular carrot. Purple Cosmic carrots have a sweet, vegetable, and earthy flavor with subtle notes of spice. Carrots grow best during the mild temperatures of spring and fall, and they develop root defects and an undesirable flavor if the weather gets too hot as the carrots develop.

To plant:
* Sow carrot seeds 2 inches apart and 1/4 inch deep 
* Space rows 6 to 10 inches apart. 
* Water the carrot seeds until the soil feels moist. Do not let the soil dry out.
* germination 10 to 25 days after sowing the seeds.
