*One of the oldest types of radish. A very hardy fall/winter variety. Roots are about 5” long and a rose color. The flesh is firm, mild and sweet while tops are tall and strong. This variety can also be used for sprouting. These are winter radishes and can be planted about 2 months before the first expected fall frost. Plant them in very rich deeply worked soil they do well with consistently moist soil and addition of organic matter such as compost. DO NOT allow soil to dry out , but also avoid over watering as tis can cause splitting.
